Teacher Recommends

Each week in the newsletter, a different teacher will recommend a favourite book.  How many will you have read?

This week’s recommendation, The Day the Crayons Quit, by Oliver Jeffers, comes from Miss Cooper, who says “This unique story is about a boy named Duncan and his box of crayons, which one day decide to go on strike because they are fed up with how they are treated. This smart and witty book emphasises the importance of creativity, problem solving and inclusiveness; a fun read for the entire family!”

Maths Challenge

Earlier this week, Alexander, Lottie, Minmin and Haransh represented our school in a year 5, Cambridgeshire maths challenge heat. The team answered some very difficult questions and did a superb job of ensuring that they answered as many questions as possible in the allocated time. The competition was fierce and even though we did not place in the top 3 on this occasion, the team should be incredibly proud of their efforts, as we all are. Well done team!
