Dare to Discover
Don’t miss this week...
As we look forward to brighter times ahead, we have been busy drawing up plans to improve our school environment, which will include a new Community Art Gallery in school. We are excited to share the details of a school–wide competition promoting our school value of Creativity. The winning pieces will be displayed in our new community art gallery later this year.
This morning, dangerous parking outside the St. Vigor’s Road gates caused a significant risk to children’s safety. Please ensure that you do not park/wait outside or opposite the school gates. Our school Ambassadors will be supporting us to monitor safe parking over the coming weeks. Please help us to prioritise children’s safety.
Thank you for continuing to support us by following testing advice and keeping your children at home when they are unwell. For your information these are the number of cases we have had in school since the beginning of this term:
Greenland | 0 | Caribbean | 7 |
Lapland | 0 | Pacific | 0 |
Atlantic | 1* | Amazon | 0 |
Baltic | 2* | Daintree | 1 |
Mediterranean | 0 | Sherwood | 2 |
Adriatic | 1 | Staff | 1 |
*The child in Atlantic class and one of the children in Baltic class have not been in school this term
Thank you so much to everyone who joined in with our doodle poll. The most popular time was Friday 21st January at 2.00 p.m. so this will be our next meeting, at my house: 22 Station Road, Fulbourn. All welcome, whether you did the poll or not. Come and have a hot drink and share ideas. Kids welcome. We’ll be done in time for school pick up! Those who can’t make it, we’ll try to keep varying meeting times to include as many of you as possible. Feel free to email fulbournprimaryptfa@gmail.com if you’d like to join in but can’t attend our meeting.

Census Day Lunch
Thursday 20th January is Spring term census day for schools. On this day we are offering one of our children’s favourite school meals. We encourage as many children as possible to have a school lunch on that day as part of the funding calculation for schools is based on meal numbers on census days. We hope that your child will enjoy joining their friends for a sausage and chips or pizza lunch.

Wandlebury Country Park – Tree Planting Days
Cambridge Nature Network are organising tree planting days at Wandlebury Country Park as part of a project to create 0.81 hectares of public access new woodland. Families are invited to attend and would be making a contribution in helping to achieve the vision of a connected nature network on our doorstep. They are keen for younger generations to get involved, who will be able to see the saplings they plant turn into a beautiful woodland and enjoy the animal and plant species that a new woodland will subsequently allow to flourish. These events take place from 10.30 am – 1 pm on Saturday 29th January, Tuesday 1st February and Saturday 5th February. Please see the links below for more information:
