Dare to Discover
Don’t miss this week...
We have been awarded our Bronze Rights Respecting School Award. It demonstrates that we are a Rights Committed School. Here are some of our Wellbeing Committee members proudly sharing our certificate!
Our Right of the Week next week will be Article 30: I have a right to speak my own language and to follow my family's way of life, and our feeling of the week will be ‘Valued’.
Did you spot us? Thank you for helping us to keep children safe on the roads on their journeys to and from school. It was so much easier for them to cross safely, cycle and scoot into school without cars parked on the pavements opposite the school gates.
Got to drive? Park and stride!
We understand that not everyone is lucky enough to live within walking, cycling or scooting distance of school – so why not give ‘park and stride’ a go?
By parking five minutes away from the school gates and walking the rest of the distance, your family can still reap the benefits of an active commute while making school a safer place for all. You could even scoot from the boot – pack your child’s scooter into the boot and let them enjoy the fun of scooting the rest of the way to school.
Please remember not to park or drop off on the yellow ‘Keep Clear’ zigzag area. Thank you for helping us to keep children safe.
Thank you for continuing to support us by following testing advice and keeping your children at home when they are unwell. For your information these are the number of cases we have had in school since the beginning of this term:
Greenland | 0 | Caribbean | 12 |
Lapland | 0 | Pacific | 1 |
Atlantic | 3 | Amazon | 0 |
Baltic | 4 | Daintree | 1 |
Mediterranean | 1 | Sherwood | 5 |
Adriatic | 2 | Staff | 3 |

A message from Miss Meyer – Reading Ambassador
Thank you to parents for all the wonderful donations we have received since the beginning of the year; these books and magazines have been gratefully received and are now occupying our library!
If you are having a January clear out and find spare books on your hands, please do donate them to the library. We would particularly welcome any non-fiction books. These can be left in the donation box outside the library.
Thank you for your continued support.
Miss Meyer
