Dare to Discover
Don’t miss this week...
This weekend – Join the Men in School working party between 10.00 a.m. – 4.00 p.m. on Saturday 5th March! Everyone welcome, even if you can only spare an hour or two. Please dress suitably and bring any equipment you might feel is useful for dismantling, ground clearance, de-brambling, etc. Supervised children are more than welcome. Access will be via the gate from the car park to the front playground (not the office gate).
Helping children to become confident, independent readers is one of our most important goals as a school- and it is an area where parents, carers, and other members of the school community can make a big difference, whether you have a spare half an hour or half a day.
As a reading volunteer, you would be supporting our children by listening to them read and talking to them about their reading and book choices. You do not need any prior experience, just enthusiasm and a good listening ear!
If you would like to be a reading volunteer, or have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch with the Office or speak to Miss Meyer directly.
Please note: Fulbourn primary school is committed to the safeguarding of all our pupils. We require enhanced criminal record checks (DBS) for all regular volunteers.
We are hoping to be able to offer drum lessons in school, in addition to our piano, guitar and woodwind lessons. If you would be interested in this, please contact the school office as Mr Piper may be able to offer some taster sessions.
Don’t forget to keep cycling, scooting and walking! We have logged 601 miles together so far.
Miles can be logged here: Log Your Miles Here

Supporting Children’s Emotional Wellbeing
In partnership with Centre 33's Child and Wellbeing practitioners, we are hosting some workshops for parents/carers to support your child's emotional wellbeing. The workshops will focus on supporting your child with worries and anxieties and supporting your child to build resilience. The Workshops will be delivered online via Zoom. If you would like to attend one or both of these sessions, you can sign up via this link.
We are delighted that Men in School have started planning for the return of the school camp this summer. This will take place from Saturday 9th to Sunday 10th July next to Fulbourn Fen nature reserve. More information to follow.
Don’t forget - Friday 18th March – wear something red or funny for Comic Relief.
