All hard-working elves know that maths skills are very important!
Mrs Marshall is now on maternity leave and we wish her all the very best for this wonderful time.
Friday the 18th is Festive Friday! It is many things...
Children should wear their normal school uniform (or PE kit) with a festive touch.
Finally, after consulting judges in London, Cambridge and Fowlmere, the results of the Cool to be Kind poster competition are in!
We had many fantastic entries and the decisions were taken very carefully. A huge well done to all of the entrants. You all produced striking and colourful posters and we will be displaying as many of the posters as we can around the school.
But many congratulations to our winners!
In Lower School: Ronnie Oliver-Scott, Alaric Elwell and Gabriele Repetti
In Middle School: Jessica Early, Evie Danson and Ellena Jackson
In Upper School: Aceline Jose and Diya Leji, Noah Deacon, Oliver Montgomery and Lucas Austin-Fingerhut, Diya Leji (again!)
Your prizes are on the way.
Friday 18th is Christmas Jumper Day. Children are encouraged to wear something festive with their school uniform (or PE kit). It doesn’t have to be a brand new shiny jumper, so please don’t feel you have to go to extraordinary lengths. But something festive will bring cheer!
The staff wellbeing fund has been set up on MCAS, you should see it under Products. Thank you to those who have already started to send personal messages of thanks to members of staff via your child’s SeeSaw account – they do mean a lot.
Tuesday 15th is the last day for children to bring in Christmas cards for their bubble-mates. Cards will be quarantined and then distributed on the last day of term. Unfortunately, children will not be able to bring in cards for children in other classes.
Orders have now been placed with the kitchen, thank you to everyone who replied. We’re looking forward to a Festive Friday Feast.
We do have some single-use plastic cups at school for children who forget to bring a water bottle in to school. We would like to remind families that children should be bringing a water bottle in each day. We’d like to keep our use of single-use plastics as low as we can. Thank you for your help with this.
A reminder that we have a couple of people who will drive into the carpark each day to access the disabled parking space. There will also be a taxi coming on site each day next week. Apart from that, the carpark, as you know is closed during drop-off and pick-up. Again, thank you for your consideration of the others who are sharing this space.
We politely ask that all car engines are switched off whilst you are dropping off or waiting for you child at the end of the school day. Please pay particular attention if you are parking on School Lane or St Vigor’s Road. Many thanks.
Fulbourn Pre School and Bikeability are looking for staff. Please see the ads below for more information.
