Home Learning

Thank you all for your fabulous home learning over this half term. The children have produced an outstanding amount of wonderful work on Seesaw and we know how much effort that requires from all parents. We wish you all a very happy half term and hope that you all have some time to relax and take a break from the pressures of home learning! Some time away from the screen is definitely in order for everyone, so we will not be setting learning over the half-term break.

The World at Fulbourn

The week after half-term we are going to celebrate our rich identities and diversity at Fulbourn Primary School!  As part of this week, children and staff will be making posts on Seesaw about their places in the world and their family’s background and roots. More information and instructions about these posts will be posted on your child’s class Seesaw. We encourage you during this week to explore with your children your family’s roots and movement, local or global! If you would like to make a parent presentation during the lunchtime calls, please email

Pupil survey

The annual pupil survey has been set for everyone on Seesaw. We’ve had a fantastic response so far with the majority of children having completed it already. If your child hasn’t had a chance to do it yet, we would really like to hear from everyone! Children who have been in school over the last two days will have completed it there.

Applying for Free School Meals

The Cambridgeshire County Council has redesigned their online form for families wishing to check their free school meal (FSM) and Pupil Premium eligibility.  Significant improvements made to the online application process enable parents/carers (in most cases) to get an instant result of the outcome of their application.

It is not necessary for parents of children who currently receive FSM to reapply; this entitlement is protected until the end of March 2022. However, applications do need to be made for younger siblings who are starting school.

The form is quick and simple to complete. Once an application has been submitted for a child, if the family do not qualify at that point, we will continue to check for future entitlement throughout that child’s school life, informing parents if they become eligible.  It is vital, therefore, that schools/families inform us of any changes to their name or address.

Families can access the online application The Education Welfare Benefits Team are happy to answer any queries and can be contacted on 01223 703200 or
