In this lead up to half term we wanted to thank you all for your support. The children have had a wonderful time and whilst they are tired and ready for a well-deserved break, we can see that they have benefited enormously from getting back to normality for an extended period of time. Over this last week please ensure the children get as much rest as possible and get to bed early so they are energised for school.
We greatly enjoyed being back in Church visiting Alice and Nigel for Harvest. It was an utter joy to hear the children singing together again and sharing art and poetry.
Baltic class have been investigating trees as habitats.
Year Six Booster Groups
With apologies to the children, we unfortunately have to cancel the year six booster groups with Mrs. Abbott until half term.
Please can we remind you that children should not bring items from home into school. It can distract children from their learning and cause disagreements with their friends. Thank you for your support.
Thank you to everyone who stopped to say hello at pick-up time on Tuesday or who came along to the PTFA meeting at the Six Bells.
We’re excited to be planning lots of fun events for the school community this year. The first will be a Break the Rules Day on the last Friday of half term (22nd October). The children are currently deciding which rules they would like to break. More information will follow as soon as we know what the children have chosen
There’s a great opportunity for budding artists to get creative and design a logo for the PTFA. Please see the logo competition design sheet for more details. The closing date for entries is Friday 29th October. We can’t wait to see the children’s designs.
We also have a pumpkin trail planned for half-term and lots of other ideas, but we would love your input too, so please do join us at our meetings, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org , join our PTFA Helpers WhatsApp group of pop us a message through our Facebook page.
We are really looking forward to meeting you all online next week at our first parent’s evenings of the year. Teachers are excited to share your children’s successes and collaborate with you to support their next steps. Zoom links for the parent’s evenings taking place next week will be sent to parents on the morning of the date you have chosen.
Thank you to the parents who sent emails with points they would like the parent forum to discuss and to those who spoke to forum representatives to share topics for discussion. Following a meeting on Wednesday we will compile a list of the points raised and the school’s responses, which will be sent to parents next week.
We are delighted that lots of children will be joining in the fun activities which are being offered as our Wednesday afternoon enrichment provision. Letters have been sent to the parents of all children who will be taking part with more information about the sessions and, where necessary, how to register with the providers. We are looking forward to this new venture beginning after half term.
