Another lovely week. We can see that the children are starting to get tired and are feeling ready for the half term break. Try to ensure that you all get a good rest over the weekend – there are still two weeks of work ahead.
Here are some of the lovely things the children have been doing:
We are very pleased to be back and have lots of exciting fundraising ideas! It is likely that, for this academic year, the majority of fundraising will be online/virtual so your support and engagement is more important than ever to help ensure we can continue to fund book purchases, new technology and maths resources.
Other ways to support fundraising:
As the number of coronavirus cases increase across the country, we are working hard to protect our school community and keep our school open. We would like to ask for your help in this and from Monday morning (12th October) we would encourage all adults to wear a mask or face covering as they drop off and collect their children. This is particularly important where social distancing is more difficult, such as in the school driveway. We thank you in advance for your support.
We are aware that some children are running around the car park and playing amongst the cars whilst waiting for the gates to open in the morning. We’d like to ask parents and carers to not let their children play amongst the cars while waiting.
Booking for Parents’ Evening is being managed through My Child At School. Booking is open and will close at 23:00 on Sunday 11th October. Please ensure you have booked your place by then. If you have any problems whatsoever then contact the office.
Parents’ Evening sessions will be run online via Zoom and meeting links will be emailed to you next week.
We will be making Cauliflower Christmas Cards, as usual, this year. Children's art work will be photographed, along with the order form, and posted on each child's Seesaw account, as we are currently unable to send home the cards for families to view and return to school. Please could all parents and carers view their children's cards and place orders online by Tuesday 13th October.
Please could parents and carers comment on their child's card on Seesaw to say an order has been placed so that we are able to tick the order placed box on their order form.
Please note that children who are now in year 3 are no longer entitled to Universal Infant Free School Meals so any school lunches will need to be paid for. We are not accepting cash payments so payments must be completed using My Child At School. Any child in years 3,4,5 or 6 who is entitled to Free School Meals will, of course, still get their lunches free of charge.
We have had a case of headlice in the school. Can you please check your child’s hair and treat if required?
