Lunchtime Play Leaders
Salary: NJC Scale Points 2-3 (£18,199 - £18,562 pro rata)
Days/Hours: 10 HOURS PER WEEK- part-time applications welcome.
Fulbourn Primary School is looking to recruit play leaders to join our friendly, lunchtime team. No experience is necessary if you have a genuine care and passion for working with children. This role will suit anyone who wishes to embark on a career working with young people as full training will be provided.
The main purpose of the role is to enhance the children’s enjoyment of lunchtime, and to promote good behaviour, by organising and leading activities, teaching children how to play and build friendships by resolving conflict. This will include setting up team games, encouraging appropriate use of equipment and promoting fair play. The role will usually involve working outside unless indoor lunchtime is necessary. From time to time, you may be required to support the children in the dining hall. Successful candidates will be expected to be first aid trained (or willing to go on a first aid course).
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of Fulbourn Primary School and to provide an inclusive environment in which children are encouraged to become responsible for themselves, their learning and their behaviour. You have the potential to make a real difference to children’s lives by providing a smiling face and helping hand.
The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Successful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced check via the Disclosure and Barring Service.
