  3. We will soon be making a sign up rota to help man stalls/make drinks and would be very grateful if people could sign up, even just for half an hour slot to help out.
  4. We are collecting good quality books, soft toys, bric-a-brac and second hand uniform.

Men In Schools – School Camp 9th/10th July – Sign up deadline next Friday

Thanks to those of you that have already signed up for this year’s camp.  For those that are planning to, but haven’t yet, can we ask you to do so by next Friday the 17th of June.  Thank you.

Run by the Men in Schools group, the camp is for all the family and takes place on the edge of Fulbourn Fen nature reserve.  We organise competitions, games and workshops.  There is food from the BBQ, a campfire, marshmallows, guitar playing and almost certainly water fights!  In short it’s a whole lot of FUN for everyone (we have tents which those without can use for the weekend).  Sign up here:  (the form has lots more information and some nice photos).

Teacher Recommends

Each week in the newsletter, a different teacher will recommend a favourite book.  How many will you have read?

Ms Richman recommends Pumpkin Soup, by Helen Cooper and says “This is beautifully illustrated and well written, with some subtle messages about growing up, changing and the feelings of frustration that might accompany these events.  There’s a lot of humour, too.”
