Visits to Fulbourn Library

Exciting news! We have been working with Fulbourn Library to organise some class trips to the local library next half term. We would love for as many parents to join us on these trips as possible. We will be in touch soon with more information including the dates of the trips.

In the meantime, if you do not already have a library card, you can sign up for one here:

https://www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/residents/libraries-leisure-culture/libraries/library-information    or using the attached form. By having a library card, you can access books not only in the Fulbourn Library but libraries in the city centre too.

The library is now offering extended opening hours which can be found here:

We are looking for donations of good condition pre-loved teddies, books and school uniform, plus volunteers to help on stalls/with set up/bring cakes.  Please email us if you can help!

Royal Jubilee Celebrations

We are looking forward to celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in school next Friday 27th May.  On this day we are asking the children to dress up in their finery or wear red, white and blue colours (no football kits please).  We will be having a picnic lunch outside and it would be very helpful if children have a picnic blanket, if they could bring it in to use (please put their name on it).

JS Sports Half Term Activity Camp

JS Sports will again be running a fun activity camp at Fulbourn Primary School on Monday 30th May.  To sign up please follow this link:  https://www.jssports-education.co.uk/holiday-activities-v1

Would you like to join the staff team at Fulbourn?

We are looking to recruit two more midday assistants to join our friendly lunchtime team.  If you are reliable, caring, adaptable and enthusiastic and you enjoy interacting with children, this could be for you!

Your role will be to support our pupils at lunchtime, supervising them in the dining hall, ensuring their safety and well-being. No experience is needed, our friendly team will support you and training will be provided.

More information is available on our website.  If you would like to chat about the role, do get in touch and we will be happy to talk with you.

School Meal Menu

The school meal menu can be found here on our website.  Please look at the menu with your child and talk about the different options on offer each day.

Teacher Recommends

Each week in the newsletter, a different teacher will recommend a favourite book.  How many will you have read?

Mr Edwards Recommends:

You Matter, Christian Robinson

This is a lovely picture book with few words and a simple message for young readers - you matter. It helps children to understand different people and situations and why we are all important to one another. I would recommend it to readers of all ages who need a reason to smile!

Community Noticeboard

Don’t forget to visit the Community Noticeboard page on our website for information about local clubs, organisations and events.  Just added is information about the opening of the Fulbourn Hub by music producer and songwriter Nat Powers and information about May half term tennis lessons for 4-8 year olds.
