Don’t miss this week...

  • Reminder – Men in School Camp – This Weekend!
  • Staffing for next year
  • Staying safe in the sun

Our incredible PTFA

We just want to start by thanking our wonderful PTFA and everyone who helped to make last weekend’s Summer Fair such a success.  We raised nearly £2,500 which is fantastic, but more importantly we were able to come together as a school community and enjoy being together for a warm fun-packed afternoon – something we have now learned not to take for granted.  Thank you to everyone who helped from cooking the sausages to manning the stalls, and our young performers to the very successful teddy bear stall – we are very grateful to you all.  A special thank you to Sarah, Sarah and Lindsay who really went above and beyond to support the school.

Staffing for next year

We are excited for move-up morning on Wednesday 13th July where the children will find out which class they will be in and the teachers will meet their new classes! Next year’s class structure will be as follows:

We are sad to be saying goodbye to Ms Hailes and Mr Cook. Ms Hailes is leaving us to start a new post in Cambridgeshire this September, whilst Mr Cook is moving with his wife across the country to Shropshire; we wish them the best of luck in their new adventures!

We are also saying goodbye to Mrs Bamber, who will not be returning after her maternity leave this time – she has decided that three young children is enough to keep her busy for a while!

We are looking forward to welcoming Mrs Anna Shelton, Miss Charlie Hannah and Miss Rebecca Shakles to the team in September. All three teachers will be joining the school to meet staff and children between now and the end of term, including for move-up morning on Wednesday 13th July.

Stay Safe In the sun

With temperatures forecast to soar next week, please remember to send children to school with a named hat, drink and sun cream to help them stay safe in the sun.

PTFA

If you would like a Summer Scavengers activity pack and badge, please order on MCAS (under products on the left hand menu) by Monday 13th July, so we can get them to you by the end of term. Or contact fulbournprimaryptfa@gmail.com

The packs have space to stick in leaflets from your travels over the summer, write or draw about new things you have seen/done/learnt or places you have been, a list of things to check off if you've done them, an A-Z spotting challenge, somewhere to draw the creatures you see over the summer, space to create a natural collage, and to reflect on your favourite thing from the holidays. That should keep the children busy for a little while for only £2!

The badge can be given as a reward for completing the pack or at any time.
