Use your voice!

Pupil voice is hugely important in our school. The School Council is one way in which children’s views and opinions contribute to school development and influence decision making.

Our School Council is formed of three committees, each with one representative from every KS1 and KS2 class. Our committees focus on Curriculum, Wellbeing, and Environment.

Each committee is supported by a member of the Senior Leadership Team and meets regularly to work on projects that improve and develop our school. Children nominate themselves by giving a short speech to their class and a vote is held to elect the class’s representatives. Each committee member consults with their class about the issues discussed in meetings and brings their feedback to the committee.

Responsibilities of the School Council members include meeting with visitors, canvassing opinions from their class, and sharing their views and thoughts with their committee.
