Salary:  NJC Scale Point 3 (£2,307 p.a.)

We are looking to recruit a play leader to join our friendly lunchtime team.  No experience is necessary if you have a genuine care and passion for working with children.  This role will suit anyone who wishes to embark on a career working with young people as full training will be provided.

The main purpose of the role is to enhance the children’s enjoyment of lunchtime, and to promote good behaviour, by organising and leading activities, teaching children how to play and build friendships by resolving conflict. This will include setting up team games, encouraging appropriate use of equipment and promoting fair play. The role will usually involve working outside unless indoor lunchtime is necessary. You may be required to support the children in the dining hall. Successful candidates will be expected to be first aid trained (or willing to go on a first aid course).
