Writing in Early Years

As children become more confident, engaged and excited about mark making, they learn that writing can have purpose and can be meaningful. In reception, we offer support in ways that maintain children’s love of writing and its meaning, through a range of contexts, including notes, lists, letters, stories.

Below you will find information and resources to help you support your child as they learn to write independently.
