  • This week’s highlights

This week’s highlights

Lower school enjoyed a brilliant trip to the Space Centre in Leicester exploring gravity, investigating a spaceship and finding out about life as an astronaut.  To culminate learning journey week, Year 5 created an elaborate Olympic event for our middle school children with full pomp and pageantry.  The whole school have finished the week with a fully packed Citizenship Day including visits from the police, scouts and cubs, youth groups, Reverend Alice, Horizon Dance and Salsa classes.  We thought about what it means to be a good citizen, and about the great variety and opportunities in our local community.

Enrichment Showcase

Wednesday afternoon enrichment has been a huge success this year and we would like celebrate by sharing some of the wonderful activities the children have been enjoying.  We will open the office gates early at 2.30pm this Wednesday 6th July.  Reception will be in the Forest Area with Kids R Us and would like to invite you to share some of the forest school activities.  The rest of the school will be on the field sharing some of the performances they have been developing with Sting Performing Arts this year.  We look forward to welcoming you to this relaxed showcase event.

Come along to the Summer Fair this Saturday 2nd July     2.00 – 5.00 p.m!        (free entry)

Candyfloss, welly wanging, balloon modelling, tennis, beat the goalie, craft activities and more!  Come and enjoy a Pimms or a cup of tea and cake, wander round the stalls, catch up with friends or get to know new families, have the day off cooking and treat yourself to some tasty BBQ food from the Men In Schools.
